SMOKED MACKEREL & ONION PATE


  • INGREDIENTS:

    225g (8oz) Skinned Smoked Mackerel Fillets, Flaked
    55g (2oz) Soft Cheese
    1/2 Finely Chopped Onion Sautéd Until Cooked
    1 Teaspoon Horseradish Sauce
    A little cream to Bind
    Dash Lemon Juice
    Black Pepper

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl or a food processor until blended.
  2. Spoon into ramekin dishes and chill until set (approx 1 hour).
  3. Serve with warm crusty bread.

HEALTHY HINTS:
Use low fat soft cheese instead of full fat soft cheese.
Use skimmed milk instead of cream to bind.
