What are your delivery areas?

We deliver nationwide via our delivery partners DPD and DHL. We do also offer some local delivery in our own vans for wholesale and bespoke customer orders.

Nationwide UK Mainland Delivered by DPD and DHL

(Excluding Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands)

Deliveries are available 6 days a week, Monday – Saturday.

How much is delivery?

Local Delivery: There is a charge of £2.50 for local delivery. We offer free local delivery on orders over £80.00.

Nationwide by DPD or DHL: There is a charge of £10.00 for UK mainland delivery (excluding Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands). We offer free nationwide delivery on orders over £80.00.

Spend £0.01 – £79.99 = £10 Delivery fee

Spend £80+ = Free Next Day Delivery

For all Islands, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands please contact us before ordering to discuss if we can deliver to you. 

How will my fish arrive?

We vacuum pack and label all of your fish, so it is ready to put straight into your fridge or you can freeze it for a recommended period of up to three months (although you can freeze our fresh fish for up to a year). Fresh seafood items will be labelled with a Use By Date and any frozen seafood will have a Best Before Date and must be placed straight into the freezer upon receiving the delivery.

Can I choose my delivery day?

Currently, we prepare everything to order to ensure freshness. This means that we work diligently upon receiving the order to acquire and prepare your seafood and aim to always have your delivery sent within 1-2 days of the order being placed. We do not currently offer selected delivery days, but we will always keep you updated with how your order is progressing.

Where is my order?

Our local and DPD/DHL deliveries can be delivered any time between 7am and 6pm. Please be assured that we package the boxes with enough ice packs to keep your seafood cold for 48 hours, if by chance there is a delay in delivery.

Is there a minimum order amount for delivery?

There is no minimum order amount for nationwide postal deliveries.

We have a minimum order amount of £40.00 for local deliveries. Please contact us regarding Local Deliveries.

How fresh is your fish?

At Jacksons Fish, we strive to provide our customers with the freshest and finest quality seafood available. We source the majority of our seafood to order, meaning we hold a lean inventory of only the freshest of produce. But, this does come at the small cost of being unable to offer same day dispatch.

Our customers take great pride and enjoyment knowing that each order is personally acquired each morning and prepared, ensuring that only the finest quality seafood leaves Jacksons for our customers.

Please be assured that when you order Jacksons Fish, you will receive the freshest fish available to buy.

Is there a maximum order amount or weight I can purchase in one order?

No. there is no maximum weight or amount for an order, although your delivery may arrive in multiple boxes.

Can my fish be delivered to an address different to my billing address?

Yes, your fish can be delivered to a different address, on checkout click the slider “Deliver to a different address?” And enter the details into the delivery address section. Please check your delivery address is correct when you receive your order confirmation email.

What happens if I miss the delivery?

When you Checkout, there is an “Order Notes” box where you can input any delivery notes that you have. We will follow these or pass them onto our partner couriers when you place your order. An example could be to deliver to a neighbour or at the back of your property in the event that you are not home.

Please note that if the driver or courier leaves the parcel in your designated safe place, we accept no responsibility for any missing, damaged or tampered with parcels. If a parcel is missing or has been stolen, we will need a crime reference number before we can apply for a missing parcel claim with DPD or DHL. 

How will my fish be kept cold during delivery?

For Nationwide DPD and DHL deliveries we will package your fish in fully recyclable cardboard boxes sealed closed with Jacksons tape. These boxes will be lined with Sheep’s wool and packed with frozen ice packs to keep everything cold. All boxes will contain enough frozen packs to keep all of the seafood cold whilst in transit. Please note that frozen items may start to defrost during delivery and cannot be re-frozen.

Our fully recyclable Puffin Packaging boxes will keep your fresh seafood cold for up to 72 hours and will maintain your frozen seafood for up to 45 hours.

For local customer deliveries and wholesale orders, our seafood will be packaged in recycled boxes and sealed using Jacksons tape. We do recommend leaving a cool bag in your safe place if there is a chance that you are going to be out. Or, you can purchase one of Jacksons Fish cool bags to receive your order in.

Can I collect my order from you?

Absolutely, we actively encourage customers to visit our Fishmongers in Newton Abbot. We do also offer a free Pickup Service through the website and orders can be placed inside customers vehicles, who are sat within the designated loading bays in the town.
